LNB is at the halfway of the Second Stage and there are still another 5 rounds left. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Reales (11-6) in La Vega on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Metros (11-7) 95-84. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Reales. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Metros looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Reales' players. Center Eloy Vargas (211-1988, college: Kentucky, agency: BIG) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds. American forward Emmitt Williams (198-1998, college: LSU, agency: BMS Sport Agency) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Sterling Manley (213-1998, college: UNC) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 22 rebounds for Reales. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Metros moved-up to second place, which they share with Caneros and Titanes. Defending champion Reales still keep top position with six games lost. Metros is looking forward to face Caneros (#4) in La Romana in the next round. Reales will play on the road against Marineros in Puerto Plata and are hoping to win this game.
Important game to mention about took place in La Romana. Third ranked Caneros (11-7) saved a 3-point victory at home edging second-ranked Titanes (11-7) 73-70 in the game for the second place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Titanes. American guard Delano Spencer (193-1994, college: Tennessee St., agency: 011 Sports) stepped up and scored 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Luis Santos chipped in 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Jaquan Lightfoot (203, college: Southeastern) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 5 blocks (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Caneros moved-up to second place, which they share with Metros and Titanes. Caneros will play against Metros (#3) in Santiago in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Titanes will play on the road against Indios in San Francisco and hope to get back on the winning track.
The game between fifth ranked Indios (9-8) and 6th ranked Marineros (6-11) in San Francisco on Wednesday ended with biggest points difference. Indios outscored guests from Puerto Plata 107-85. Eddy Polanco nailed 19 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Marquis Collins came up with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for Marineros in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Indios maintains fifth place with 9-8 record. Marineros lost sixth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Indios will meet at home league's second-placed Titanes in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Marineros will play against the league's leader Reales (#1) and hope to secure a win.





Indios - Marineros 107-85

The game between fifth ranked Indios (9-8) and 6th ranked Marineros (6-11) in San Francisco on Wednesday ended with biggest points difference. Indios outscored guests from Puerto Plata 107-85. Indios looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Naturalized American point guard Eddy Polanco (193-1994, college: SE Louisiana, agency: Octagon Europe) nailed 19 points and 4 assists for the winning side and Luismal Ferreiras (200-2003, agency: BMS Sport Agency) accounted for 13 points and 9 rebounds. American swingman Marquis Collins (203, college: UMSL) came up with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and New Zealand-Kenyan center Yuat Alok (211-1997, college: NM State) added 20 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Marineros in the defeat.
